You enter an input. Your data enters an enclave.
When you enter data or upload files, your prompts and files are encrypted on your device with keys only available to you and the secure enclave. Your data can only be used within this secure and private environment.

AI processing happens within the enclave.
The AI model you choose runs entirely inside this enclave, thereby processing your prompts in a location where we cannot read, access, or store your data —even if we wanted to. As a privacy-first company, that won’t ever change.

Your data is wiped when the request is complete.
Once your request is complete, the secure enclave is effectively erased. No prompts, files, or outputs are saved long-term or used for training—because the data is unable to be read outside the enclave. It’s AI without the compromises.

Does ExpressAI store chat data?
No. ExpressAI uses NVIDIA’s enterprise-grade confidential computing enclaves. All inputs are end-to-end encrypted and processed solely in the enclave’s encrypted memory, so they’re never readable to us. When your session ends, your data disappears completely.
Does ExpressAI have a mobile app?
ExpressAI currently offers a web-based mobile experience that works on most smartphones and tablets through your browser. A dedicated iOS or Android app is not available at this time, but the web app is fully optimized for mobile use. Native mobiles are coming soon.
Can I upload my own AI model to ExpressAI?
Not yet. ExpressAI doesn’t currently support uploading custom AI models, but we know there’s high demand for this feature and are working hard to add it. We’ll share updates as soon as it’s available.
How is this different from competitors?
ExpressAI is a consumer AI that uses confidential computing architecture. Built on ExpressVPN’s privacy-first principles, it features secure enclaves and zero-access encryption to make long-term retention of your prompts, outputs, and data impossible. We can’t use your data to train the model or profile you, as your prompts are only ever visible to you and readable within the secure enclave.
