Local pricing, global access: ExpressVPN rolls out local currencies for privacy suite
We’re bringing pricing closer to home. Introducing GBP, EUR, and BRL for a seamless checkout experience.
ExpressVPN has begun rolling out local currency pricing for its privacy suite, moving away from a USD-only model for international users.
- Customers in the United Kingdom (GBP), Eurozone (EUR), and Brazil (BRL) can now pay in their local currency. Pricing is now fixed in these regions, meaning subscription costs will no longer fluctuate based on daily exchange rates.
- Rolling out now: We are also actively testing and launching local currencies for Canada (CAD), Australia (AUD), Japan (JPY), Singapore (SGD), and Hong Kong (HKD). If you are in these regions, you may already see local pricing available at checkout.
- This update paves the way for upcoming regional payment options, such as BNPL services (e.g., Klarna) in select markets.
- Local pricing applies to ExpressVPN’s recently launched Basic, Advanced, and Pro plan structure, with access to the complete privacy suite on Pro.
Great digital privacy should be seamless. That applies to how our apps work, and it applies to how you pay for them.
As ExpressVPN evolves into a complete privacy suite, we’re also upgrading the subscription experience to better reflect our global community. Today, we’re excited to announce the rollout of local currency pricing for customers in the UK, Europe, Canada, Australia, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Brazil.
This update is about bringing clarity and simplicity to your subscription. By offering fixed pricing, we ensure that the price you see on our site is exactly the price you pay, providing a consistent, localized experience from the moment you sign up.
It’s the natural next step in our mission to make digital protection as accessible and straightforward as possible.
The new pricing structure
We recently moved from a single-plan model to a three-tier system: Basic, Advanced, and Pro.

Now, those tiers have fixed price points in major new currencies. Below is a breakdown of the new pricing for our live regions:

(Note: Pricing for regions currently in testing phases, such as Japan, Canada, and Australia, will be displayed directly on the order page.)
What comes next
This rollout is the first phase of a broader localization strategy.
New regions
While the UK, Eurozone, and Brazil are fully live, we are rapidly expanding this program. We are currently preparing to launch local currencies for New Zealand (NZD), Switzerland (CHF), and more in the coming weeks.
New payment methods
Updating the currency is step one. Updating how you transact is step two. By localizing our billing systems, we can soon support regional payment preferences that go beyond standard credit cards.
In the near future, we will begin rolling out support for Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) services and other region-specific payment methods. The goal is to make securing your digital life as straightforward as buying a coffee in your local neighborhood.
Privacy remains universal
While the currency and payment methods are changing to fit your location, the product remains consistent globally. And starting today, that product protects much more than just your connection.
Your ExpressVPN subscription has evolved into a comprehensive security suite. Whether you pay in pounds, euros, reals, yen, or dollars, you now get access to a comprehensive ecosystem of protection:
- ExpressVPN: The industry-leading VPN protecting your network traffic.
- ExpressKeys: A zero-knowledge password manager protecting your credentials.
- ExpressMailGuard: A private email relay protecting your communications.
- Identity Defender: A suite of monitoring tools protecting your personal identity (available for U.S. users).
No matter which currency you use, our core promise remains the same: strict no-logs policies, RAM-only TrustedServer technology, and privacy protections that work for everyone, everywhere.
